Yawning through the Morning

Hello sweetpeas and good morning. Last night I actually edited my dream; it’s a really cool trick I can do ever since I had dream therapy as a kid. So every time I go to bed it’s like I’m settling in to a good movie. Yes I know I am a strange person so lets just looks at this cute little thing and forget I said anything…

Monkey News

Good Moorning
I have monkey news, kinda sad monkey news, but also kinda funny.

During the Napoleonic Wars (early 1800’s) a French ship was wrecked off the Hartlepool coast, when the ship washed up to shore there was only one survivor, a monkey. The monkey was the ship’s pet which the crew dressed in a military uniform to amuse themselves at sea. At the time there was great fear of a French invasion, Britain was paranoid about the possibility of French infiltrators and spies. Unaware of how a French man looks like, the fishermen trailed the monkey as a human, which brought them to the conclusion that the so called  ‘French man’ was a spy. So they sentenced him to death, and hung him.

What a strange little story, I can’t believe that the British thought a monkey was a French spy! Wow, we have come a long way since then. This illustation from Ben Kirchner triggered my memory of this mad little story. For more reading on this click here or for more on the Kirchner click here.

1st class stamp to space

Morning fellow humans. It’s a lovely Sunday for Basketball.

I have recently been blogging about collections, today, I like to post some about stamps. But they wont be boring regular ones with queen on the front, no sir… they will be little gems like this, wonderfully fun illustrated ones. Anyway I better get researching, they wont compile themselves. Send in any that you like, if that is your thing!

Time for Toast

Morning call

Good morning to the fellow people of the information superhighway. It is a new day, and summer is coming, so lots to be happy about! I am excited to see my little siblings at the weekend, before they grow up too much. So I might have to brush up on my ‘playing football whilst giving a piggy-back’ skillz. It is a good skill to have if you want to be a ninja turtle, or a good big sister.

This is a Joey Choey number, whom I have posted in the past, for a refresher of his stuff click here.

The cat in the picture represents me and the mouse represents my phone alarm. Not too cryptic… well, very simple, but it’s early, give me a break.

Surreal Cereal

Morning all, I think it’s time for breakfast, minus the crickets that is…

I can’t remember where I found it, but it seems others have credited this website.
